Note	Thomas Matthew Henley, Sr. was bed ridden before he died and my Uncle John says he can remember that it was his job to keep the record player cranked up because Thomas like to listen to the records. Uncle John Baynes was at the time about 13 years old.
Note	Thomas Matthew Henley was born on 2/17/1866, in Ireland. He died on April 24, 1937 Pemiscot County, Missouri. Thomas Henley, for 24 years a resident of the Marvin Chapel community near Caruthersville, born a little more than 72 years ago in Dublin, Ireland and passed away at his home Saturday, April 24, following an illlness of several weeks. The deceased came to this country with his parents at an early age and lived for many years in Tennessee where his parents settled upon the arrival in this country. He is survived by 4 sons, Tom, John, Bill and Joe Henley and one daughter Mrs. Herbert Russell, all of near Caruthersville. funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Baptist church conducted by the Rev. D.K. foster. Interment was made in Maple cemetery, with Smith service.
